Academic Tutoring

Academic success is a major focus in the NBYMP Foundation. We will do everything in our power to make sure that you attain the grades necessary to be successful in whichever field/profession you choose to pursue. The decision starts with you. Make the decision to be successful academically, and we will help you along the way through our FREE and paid tutoring services! See below.

FREE Academic Tutoring

The NBYMP Foundation is a registered charity in Canada that develops youth academically through free tutoring services (from qualified and experienced teachers).

Our tutors take great pride in providing a very valuable service! Their passion for encouraging academic success goes beyond the classroom as they aim to develop youth holistically by improving their confidence, self-esteem, and willingness to learn (especially during this difficult COVID-19 period).

We also provide inclusive services (Special Education) information / recommendations on accommodations, strategies, ASD, IEP, or IRPC process.

Future Scholars Program

Through this program, we select 20-30 youth across Canada and provide them with free, monthly, virtual academic tutoring (via Zoom) in either Math or English / Language for their full term / semester! Students from grades 1 to 12 can apply. The deadline to apply is Sept. 15th

 To Apply:

  • Submit a 250 word paragraph explaining your need for academic tutoring [parents / guardians can submit this on behalf of their child(ren)]

Please send to [email protected]

Requirements:

  • If accepted, must be motivated and willing to receive the tutoring (e.g. present at all sessions, attentive, ready to learn)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Students who genuinely struggle in either Math or English / Language
  • Low socioeconomic households
  • Single parent households
  • Limited parental support at home

*These preferred requirements are put in place as there is a strong correlation between these factors and poor academic performance. We hope to help those who face these barriers*
